Had the same problem with my bag. Just now checked forums. This is what I did.

    1. Click change equipment in main menu window.

    2. Click on the blue equipment bar under your golfbag to un-equip it. Bag should disappear. Save changes. You should now have a standard club set like you had before the bag was purchased.

    3. Reload PROFILE page. You should now be able to sell those clubs.

P.S. I had the EXACT same problem. This worked for me on the first try. GOOD LUCK!

    Curiously:

When you re-installed the bag, was it empty or not?

Than you very much.  Thing are now all working as advertised.  Still confused on losing my streak of playing every day.  But since I probably won't have enough points to go to level 93 for a year or so, I'm sure I'll keep the streak alive

PD I've just looked at your profile and you bag is still equipped.

This is a common error and not your fault but only you can complete the get around, you have to go to your equipment and unequip the bag, THE BAG not the clubs (although you obviously have to unequip them too) but you must unequip the actual bag that they WERE in or it won't let you sell them.

Hope that helps. If not contact customer services link at the bottom of the page but that is the fix everyone else who has this common problem uses.

    PDDispatcher:

That's what I'm telling you.  This isn't the first time I've sold equipment. Notice that I've been here quite a while.   It's worked fine before but it won't this time.  I've tried every combination.  Here's the message I keep getting:

  • Could not sell item: Club with code LVL_PING_12_02_Driver10.5 is equipped (equipped items cannot be sold)
  • To unequip the bag, first go to the game client (play now), then select change equipment.  To the far left you'll see a bag (if one is equipped),  Click on the bag, and while holding down on the mouse button, drag it to the right inside the box.  The bag to the left should be removed.

Now click "Save Changes", go back to your profile and verify that the bag is no longer shown on your equipment.  Once you've done that, you should be able to sell the wedges.

Oh ... after you sell your equipment, you'll need to equip your bag again.  This is done in somewhat the reverse order ... but you'll have to click on the "Bags" button below the equipment box, then drag the bag to the left (where it was before).  Once you've done this, all the equipment in bag 1 will appear.  Click "save changes" and your bag is now equipped again!

Good luck ... this can be a pain.  Just make sure the bag is gone from your equipment on your profile before you try to sell back any equipment!

I had the same problem, I sent an email to customer support (http://www.wgt.com/contact.aspx) I got a reply very quickly asking for confirmation of exactly what clubs I wanted to sell. Replied to them and I had the credits back in my account within the hour.

    Great service from customer support

    KILLERCRACK:

     $ 299 when i paid $1195 for it

WGT'S GREED keeping the Brother Down

    100 credits = $1.

    Paid $11.95. Sell back for $2.99,  Net cost - $8.96 (896 credits)

I think it's pretty amazing that WGT buys back any clubs at all. WGT doesn't have to buy clubs back, and you aren't obligated to sell either.

No muss, no fuss, no advertising, no negotiating. WGT is ready and willing to buy as soon as you are ready to sell so you don't have to schlep around looking for a buyer.

WGT GREED? Hardly. Keeping the Brother Down? How?
