Would it be possible to allow enough time at the end of the Match Play game to allow for the players to thank each other for the game. It seems that the game announces the winner and it's over before courtesies can be extended.
You can use the "rematch/chat" and you're back in the lobby. After courtesies, I think you can just cancel the game.
