why is it  that everything wgt gives away dosent benefit the guys that have supported wgt for years. as is the case with free weekend rental, stupid golf balls and clubs that good players wouldnt go anywhere near. how about rewarding the guys you have supported wgt for years?????

    Think business:

The new players will bring more future revenue to WGT than the experienced ones - they have to be flattered...

And I'd say that the current "black R1 driver" offer is of big value for many high level players.

not exactly free and paying extra for the colour hmmmmmmm its getting to the stage where you could buy a real driver for the same price.

Advanced price for the level drop I'd guess, which is priceless for some.

    1. wgt doesn't give away clubs (other than default starters)

    2. free rent weekend saves us tons of creds in rent fees,
thanks to free rent weekend I was able to rule out all the other putters
in pro shop, and pick what works for me.
can you imagine spending thousands of credits to try out all
the clubs, irons, drivers and putters? that's a HUGE break when we get it.
sure it boosts revenue, but most people realize you have to
buy the good stuff to enjoy this game, same as in real life.

    3. gift balls? well yeh, usually they suck, I'll agree with you there,
if they wanna gift a ball, they won't go bankrupt gifting us nike's or callaways,
once in a blue moon I'm sure. though this might also be a licensing issue,
like say their contract with callaway or nike forbids them
giving that branded ball for free, so who knows....

    +1, Alo....

BOOM....respect WGT, not just because I've now got one ( never crossed my mind that it would be possible for 12 months) but because I think / hope you've recognized that us long termers, whether that be in levels or years need a boost too occasionally to 'fire the coals'

loving mine...my ave length driving stats are gonna go through the roof ! :)

    +2

I just bought it, not sure if I will get a chance to use it today but I agree, it is one way of rewarding players longevity.

However I do agree that better rewards should be implemented via a loyalty program - that directly reward credits purchased (or free credits earned).

Free rental weekends are great as pointed out - yes the idea is to encourage players to buy new equipment, but the saying there is no such thing as a free lunch applies.

The gimmick balls IMO opionion are just that, but many lower level players are appreciative but personally if the intention is for players to re-purchase these, I think giving a sleeve would increase the chances of doing so.

We had free use of TruGolf courses another weekend, again to try and lure players to play more often, but was an opportunity for many who never play them to do so.

WGT is under no obligation to do any of these and many appreciate it but many then complain. But sadly the complaining is not constructive - saying "this sucks" acheives nothing. Come up with some constructive ideas of how to reward players and perhaps WGT will listen.
