Is this Achieveable

  Hi all I'm reasonably new and have just moved up to Amateur level. I was looking around at members equipment to see what they use and their stats to get an idea of what might be my next move.

  I'm not sure if I understand this but I noticed that a Legend was using the same starter clubs as me and had only done 89 Ranked rounds with a best 18 of 69. His average went from 62.36 down to 60.96 and yet has'nt put any more Ranked rounds in but has played 20 or so winning matches in the last few days to bring him to nearly being nearly a TL

  Can winning matches bring your average down like this or is it me not understanding the system yet ?

  He doesn't appear to play for credits but then again I'm still learning and I may not have seen this either.

  Winning matches against higher tiered opponents makes your average drop. But because a minimum number of ranked rounds is required to move up to the next tier, in addition to a certain average, the opportunity for them to become a TL, even with a low enough average, is a long way off.

  Not sure about below but certainly as a TM (I assume below??) you beat a legend and your average will drop v quick.  Once Legend you need 500 rounds within Legend tier and a 59.99 average to become TL.........now RG wins / beating a TL may have a tiny impact, but it will be tiny to the point I would say of too  negligible to worry about..........Now if said person has only just hit legend his score can fluctuate a fair bit at first as their average start's again after TM...........

  The margin to Tour Legend is 60.000, and AFAIK the extra influence by match or credit wins doesn't exist any more for Legends.

  Kevin's observation contradicts this. Perhaps they changed the rules voluntarily, or a new bug has hit the game, one of the well-known betterworsenings.

  Thanks guys for the replies and  I've gathered some stats but didn't know if I'd be breaking any rules to show I.D. so I blanked it out. The matches he played were a mixture of levels but not Legends I don't think.

  That's the key. An average won't drop just by playing MP games unless  they're against a higher tiered player. Legends beating TLs won't do anything but a Legend losing to a TM or below will.By the looks of that history that is what happened.

  Heh-38 at SA sure didn't push him over the edge. If he was sandbagging, those days are over. The system as it's set up today.......   :-)
