Virtual U.S. Open...SLOW GREEN SPEEDS?

  Playing the U.S. Open first round I had slow green speeds...I played last year and had I think Championship speeds (in the first round but then they switched to slow for the second round) but this year they were slow, like literally the slow setting. Can I expect this again in the second round? 

  I was completely unprepared for that kind of setting so I missed a lot of short putts and turned a 56 into a 60...missed from 7 ft on 1, 10 ft on 5, 6 ft on 8, 10 ft on 11, 12 ft on 13...the greens were just uncomfortably slow. Did anyone else experience this?

  Definitely didn't do me any favors either.  I only had one "unmakeable" birdie putt and that was after a poor approach to #5.  I missed 5 other birdie putts of less than 10 feet and one that was 12 feet.  I had one putt of 5.4 feet with up arrow and showing "0".  I hit to about 8.5 feet of power and came up 4 inches short.  facepalm...

  out of curiosity spamm....was that putt you are referring too, on hole 14 (below the hole) ? if not, il guess hole 4 below hole :)
