How do you aim putts when the break in the green is so severe that stopping the swing meter as far from left/right of center as possible is still not enough? I hope I'm adequately articulating this question, but will provide additional info if needed. Thx
By missing the ding sir. Also you might think about using a wedge.
That's what I mean. The green has a severe break to the right, so I miss the ding as far left as possible, but it still breaks in front of the hole.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Asa general rule I aim the putts twice the width for the most severe breaks. For example if a 20 foot putt with an extremely fast break I will start my aim adjustments at about 40 inches. And somethings I will miss the ding to help it hold the line longer, but missing the ding reduces speed so that gets taken into account too.
If your normal putting style is the aim to miss then just move the marker. You can do both together. But if the slope is nearer me than the pin I use a wedge to hit over it.

Correct, this is my normal style. I will try moving the marker next time and see if that helps. Thanks again for the reply.
