took a tour pro, & made me master! Why? now what, foul!

  tournaments  as  a  tour  pro?  Does  this  now  ruin  and  void  my  position  as  a  tour  pro?  Like  the  michelin  challenge,  I  was  at  position  34!  and  all  other  games  i  posted  on?  wth?  is  up  ,  are  you  forceing  me  to  buy  eqpt?      this  is  trickry  in  the  worst  way if it is, Its  foul  play  wgt,   foul I say!  I was at 67.58 Avg,  Played 1 match play game with a Master & won by ! hole, now im a master becuse of it? and now I am at a avg of 66.68?  and a Master?   ...  Had I known that match play would just, run me up Teirs for doing nothing, I would have never spent all my dough on Balls and all this time, chipping away at my avg.  This has to be a trick to make players buy more crap. WTF?

  For about 10 months now, match play wins against higher tiers have had an effect on average and thus on the tier. You might want to read the FAQ - match play section - to verify this.

  The official justification for the implementation was "Anti-Sandbagging", as wished by many players, but it's transparent that it would also force players to buy equipment earlier to keep pace with the harder conditions.

  Your match win dropped your average by 0.9 points and below the Master threshold of 67 => a tier-up - congratulations!

  Nevertheless, you may continue as a TP in all tournaments that you started as a TP. Good luck for the Michelin!

  Curiously: Was there credits at stake in the match?

  No one forces you too part with money here. Lots of players get pretty far without spending any. As long as you don't mind spending a little time on the offers and surveys and watching a few videos you can soon pick up credits.
