Ok, I have never worn a real ball out in my entire life. I understand that initially the reason for losing a ball after a certain number of hits was to make money. I know that WGT is now making a lot of money with commercials and other stuff so how about removing the hit loss? Bad enough that the virtual balls cost more than real golf balls. People will still lose them to the water and weeds.

Are you kidding? Selling balls that dont last (so you have to keep buying more) is how the site makes money. It would be like asking McDonalds to not charge for french fries.

no offense, check their earnings, balls aren't where they are making money. How about giving back to the players and making this a more realistic site and rewarding those of us that have been playing and paying. Bad enough that we have to deal with lying wind and lies. And what about tourneys that the wind is different for players? shouldn't it be the same wind and hoe location every time

I wore out, cut, gouged, roughed up, and scratched lots and lots of golf balls. I guess you're not old enough to have ever play balls that had a Balata cover?

Occasionally balls were not playable even though they were brand new, because they were out of round.  It's not as common today because of the materials they make ball covers from.

You have a ball ring to make sure all your balls are round don't you?

I used a sleeve of new balls every round. Each ball got played for just 6 holes. Less if I hit one somewhere it was irretrievable.

At the end of the round, those balls that were still round went into the shag bag and were used at the practice green/sand trap.
