    Golfspieler:

What a shame to lose one of the best players in WGT history in this fashion. I sure hope Mr. WGT gets in touch and honors all the prizes that you won. This is not how a business should  treat anyone much less one of the greats to play here. What a disgrace WGT.

Well there is nothing I can add that hasn;t been said already.

I always give credit when it is due, and WGT have produced a great game. But for it's communication , or more to the point, absolute lack thereof, and the shoddy way it treats their customers, it is amazing how the company survives.

To continually lose players and never to address the obvious issues is lunacy IMO. As WGT effectively sell a "service" rather than a product (and we never actually own our equipment anyway) should the top priority not be customer service?

There is only one boss. The customer. And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else. Sam Walton

And now 9 hours and no response. That's truly awful.

I don't think WGT fully realise the benefits of having these top players like Danno.

From my own standpoint it's players like Danno that made me more interested in playing this game as much as I used to and spend all the money I have done on this site.

The challenge of trying to beat him in either a tourney, in matchplay or alt shot is probably the biggest challenge you're ever gonna get in this game & it doesn't get any better. It's these challenges that gave me the drive to play.

When top players like Danno leave this game, it's a loss for everyone, because that challenge is gone.

I'm just happy that I managed to get games in with Danno, Tess, Genorb, Simo & Bollox because it gave me real value for money, gained me a huge experience, I met the hardest of challenges and had my butt whipped on many an occasion but I enjoyed the masterclass immensely. They didn't get it all their own way all of the time :)

From what Danno mentions in his post it is very hard to defend WGT whatsoever and as Danno's mate I stand totally in his corner.

I see no reason why it takes WGT so long to update earnings & payout prizes. In general it leaves a bad taste for everyone playing this game knowing that even if they're good enough or lucky enough to win, then the joy of winning is completely eaten away when you have to wait so long to be paid out and in many instances don't even get a mention anywhere.

What I do know is this. If WGT have any intentions of remaining a success on the internet, they really need to buck up their ideas with regards to paying out as quick as they take our money, because when sites get a bad name on the internet, that bad name will stick to them like glue and follow them around regardless of which site they're involved with. Whether it's golf, baseball or basketball, if the paying customers see the same folks are behind the site and have a bad reputation on paying out / customer service, then the paying customers will usually think twice about spending.

Well said TBE. Truly a sad day when one of,  if not the Best to ever play this game decides to leave this game because of this. Crazy,,,wow!

From a customer point of view and from someone with 15 years experience doing business solely on the internet,  the problems with this site are so easily rectified.

WGT do have all the necessary pieces of the jigsaw in order to make this game stronger and retain the success it's achieved in the past. All they need to do is fit them into place correctly and improve their overall efficiency.

I see absolutely no reason whatsoever why this game can't be even more of a success than it's been to date....IF it's run more efficiently from the grass roots up to the chairman of the board.

Any problems have stemmed from WGT sitting back on their laurels for too long and taking their foot off the gas.

IMHO ....It's time for WGT to raise the bar. It's time to set new standards and goals.

Any good business plan would include looking after their bread & butter customers whilst trying to attract new players into this game.

More new players coming into this game with the least players leaving would keep this site in great health BUT this can only be achieved by WGT and everyone involved working together as a team that functions as close to perfection as possible.

For sure it's a challenge, however, it is a very doable one. WGT has reached that challenge in the past and I'm positive they'll do it again. Motivation & drive is the key to this.

WGT has a pattern of offering "prizes" and never delivering. I have qualified for 4 Opens-I thought I read a golf capor some prize would be sent to all qualitiers****--no cap! . Now, frankly, I can buy my own-but its the principle-and it's principle that seems to be lacking.

That many of the WGT staff are in a clique with certain players, cannot be denied--it's a fact--Maybe Dansamcam should join a different Country Club, hob  knob with the "in crowd", kiss some WGT booty etc.

Well, don't hold your breath waiting for a response from anyone.

Frankly, WGT just may be in deep financial trouble and who knows what the future is for the rest of us who use to enjoy this game.

So very sad, and even worse totally unethical.

****   QUALIFIER PRIZES: There are 156* Qualifier Prizes. Each Qualifying Entrant who is eligible to win a prize will receive a Twenty-Five dollar (USD $25)  e-certificate to USGAshop.com (approximate value USD $25) good for purchases of merchandise featured on www.usgashop.com

It's a shame to treat any customer like this, much less one of the best ever to tee it up.  Maybe if this thread gets enough posts from members it'll get somebody's attention.

If my guess is accurate and TGC/NBC buys the game, maybe we'll see the improvements we've all looked for finally realized.

But at the very least, WGT must make things right with dansamcam.
