That's ok.. Thanks for getting back to me.

How do you break up the power meter?  I only have the beginner meter.

I am starting to get some credits and getting more up grated clubs.  Not the ones I want yet.

    Best,

    Stu

Dang, my best is a 90 something. And you are always nice Renni, but sometimes i think I have to be cruel to be kind. I might have a few attempts at a CTTH, haven't played for a bit and with the rocks might be interesting - see if I can lower my scores over 10 attempts - well I will later as I am at work lol.

The meter is the same for us all (I use original) but each club set has different yardages/increments. The only way of working out the % is trial and error and taking notes. Many players make there own putter/shot pal but can be bought from the pro shop. Mine is a post it note - and use it for my wedges, 60, 75, 100 yards full shot. I will never reduce a shots power by too much, as it results in a "fluff".

But I do use less than full power for 53, 65 and 87 yards respectively and less than this use punch. Also knowing whether top spin, no spin and back spin for your wedges you can dial in pretty close most of the time.

Hope you understand - my post it note has become a real mess over a period of time, adjustments etc. And a lot of shots are just feel, the more shots you hit the more instinctive it becomes (and I seldom use my post it note now).

Well I tried twice - sorry doing CTTH just does not float my boat.

    But

1st effort 203,6 took a few notes of clubs, power, spin and wind

2nd Attempt 75.88 - referred to the notes

As you can see there is a dramatic improvement but the 1st attempt was my first game in a while and these starter balls are lightening fast on the meter and missed a couple of shots badly. The second effort I hit the ding twice and wasnt too far away the rest.

With more attempts I am sure I would improve, but I don't want to use up the life on the starters ball :)

After I finished I saw a friends name on the screen, 8.11 and I have played with this guy many times - and he certainly does not cheat (well if he does he does it badly lmao)

There are things you can do to increase your chances of scoring low in CTTH, for instance i have started mapping WOLF CREEK:

    WOLF CREEK CTTH

    WIND: LOW

     - 7mph 10 to 4, 130 hit 100, no spin - Ding - hit infront of hole 7ft

After about 15 restarts i started getting within 3 ft for the first 3-4 holes if i dinged them but then id miss a ding and shoot a 14 and then restart.

     - 12mph 9 to 3, 205 hit 97.5, no spin - Ding - , 1ft behind.

read this as 12mph wind facing (using the hands and numbers on a clock to give direction) 9 to 3, 205 yrd hit 97.5% with no sping, and a ding landed 1ft behind hole.

    Stu,

In addition to the advice already posted, two big factors in shooting low scores in CTTH are wind, and green speed. Select "low" for wind "Very fast" for green speed. Course selection is also very important. I prefer Kiawah, although the third hole is a killer. I play that at 185 about 1/4 inch from full power, full BS and 1/4 inch left of ding, but, that is with my gear and ball selection. Once you factor in all the variables, I assure you scores like that are not only possible but , can be acheived regularly with lots of practice.

    Doc :)

Edit: I see you have upgraded your iron set, if i may suggest, for an additional $2, the snake eyes wedges will serve you well for quite some time ( I still keep a set ).

    Doc :)
