I find it very frustrating that concerns over cheating and concerns over the game becoming easier through continual improvements to distance, precision and spin of clubs and balls seems to fall upon deaf ears. These concerns were voiced by people who don't want the game ruined by these issues. It appears to me that is exactly what is happening and I find it very disappointing. The last thing I wanted this game to turn into is another TW online where if you aren't -5 after 5 you might as well give up, the reality is now that it has. Throw in the problem of cheats and you haven't got much left to cling on to.

^^ All true, but can't see what can be done now..?

They can't make our clubs and balls perform diff (well, they could) but it wouldn't go down well with many I think..

As you intimated it should have been thought through more before it got to this stage.

Hardly play RGs as having to shoot 9 or 10 under is not enjoyable for me or even possible most days ;-)

The game should have been engineered so that -8 was a fantastic score and around -5 was the norm if you were good imo

thats my point 2 what you said and what tiffer has just said 2. its for that reason i lost my head the other nite its still no exscuse but when i went -3 through 3 holes then 3 parrs to follow i new then no point in going any further. i will hardly pay a ready go now because of the low rounds u need to get creds back. just have to pay for balls and clubs with money i suppose. as for the cheating it will never ever get fixed on here sad but true.

I have no idea what can be done in relation to cheaters as I am not knowledgeable enough on tech issues. Plenty of people more qualified seem to think that as long as the game is on Flash nothing can be done.

I still think the number of players cheating is relatively low, the perception of the problem is probably now a bigger issue than the actual problem itself. Until there is clear evidence of WGT proactively trying to eradicate the problem, the integrity of tournament play suffers hugely.

Uneven lies is the way forward to some extent in making the game harder. There's still a long way to go in its development though in my opinion, others will disagree. What we have seen however is that the best players can still shoot crazy scores even in this format. As you have said to reduce club distance, precision and spin now would in all likelihood not go down well, it would solve the problem though.

I cringe when I see these posts about cheating because (a) nothing is being done to battle this issue as far as we all know and (b) it just draws more attention to the fact that you can cheat in this game and be successful. When I first started, I had no idea you could cheat but now with one glance at the forum you can pretty much find enough information to successfully google it.  All these posts most likely do is encourage more people to cheat.

Cheating is a lost battle. There will always be cheaters and there will always be people cracking the code to create cheats. This will never end. Some people fancy trying to break the code of games and other things. Shoot, look at the online piracy scam. If those big multi-billion dollar companies can't stop piracy of their songs and movies then I don't see how WGT can effectively stop cheating. It would take lots of money and someone very creative but even then it's most likely a quick fix.

I do agree with some past posts about posting more stats that would help possibly narrow down cheaters but even then, what next?  Report the possible suspect on suspension with no hard evidence?

If you want to help stop cheating then quit bringing it to attention every two seconds then less people will be aware of it and try and find it.

It's an impossible task to stop cheats,We just have to trust peoples integrity sadly their are cheats in life that's way of world,Hell most of them run our countries I hate the fact that people will cheat like many of you,But you stop one program they'll develop another & so on so no chance for most honest players to make credits in this game without taking them off your friends IMO.

That would possibly be a start?
