I feel I need to get this off my chest.

Over the last umpteen months I have had little to no problems with playing this game. There are minor things from time to time, but then again from time to time my vacuum cleaner throws a wobbly (actually the Mrs says that... I'm not qualified to use it).

Being quite an avid reader of the forums but not a great contributor I also read a lot of threads about all the issues / complaints / whines people have, a few of which are very justified I am sure...but I just don't have anything to contribute anymore.

Its just not good enough WGT admins... I feel left out, as I have nothing to complain about....It all just seems to ....work.

There's no rain on the course so its not as if I can even complain about not having a suitable brolly.

So fellow players if like me you feel that you are left out because you have nothing to complain about then use this thread to vent because frankly we need a voice to as I feel we are being ignored.

Players with complaints should continue to vent via their normal forum channels ;-)

*** Disclaimer - Dear WGT admin dudes / dudettes... if you do have a special button for each player that can automatically destroy us then please don't press mine (lets be honest there are people that think you can do that). Bet you are all like Blofeld off James Bond and sit in big chairs stroking a cat....COOL!, and you probably all have 3 nipples too... ANYWAY...all is well in my WGT world....except for that fact that I am crap at it.....can I blame you for that please?...No?...I hate you !! ..that's it I'm leaving............. I'm back again now ****

Stay calm my friend! Help may be coming soon!

Rumour has it that a new department will be opening soon in the Pro shop:

Be advised that the price tag is only preliminary, for the pre-alpha test phase.

Look out for the news to come!

    Alosso,

Please be advised that help has been available for quite some time, and, that I don't take kindly to unfair competition.

    Dear Jerk..GREAT POST!!!!!

And if I may add my two cents to this, I have only been on WGT a few months and have seen and experienced some of the problems that others complain about.  So What?  WGT is not out to get me, at least I hope not, and since I have a brain and a life, I know that there will always be glitches in this system, So What...I enjoy playing and having fun and when I get "Metered" or WGT'd who cares?  I just laugh it off and move on...For example, yesterday I was playing with a friend and hit a 175 yd club for a 168 yd approach with a 3 mph wind at me..I came up 10 yds short and yes I dinged it...So what do I do...laugh laugh laugh...And move on...

A wise man once told me when I started playing golf, that this game will frustrate the crap out of you if you don't look for and see the fun in it...When you play look for that one shot that will make you want to play again and don't worry about the others...Thanks for the GREAT advice Dad!!!!

    Happy Golfing Every one!!!!

    Sir

I note that you are in The Yorkshire County Country Club. If that means you are a Yorkshireman with nothing to complain or grumble about, then I have waited all of my life to see this ! Please confirm that you actually live somewhere like Brighton and just happen to be connected to this Yorkshire C.C. ! It would make me feel better my friend !

Same here JN...... don't get me wrong, I suck at this game but it runs fine 95% of the time. If I hit a bad shot, it may be VEM but most of the time it's just my fault.

My only complaint right now is I have no earthly idea what the words wobbly and brolly mean (lol).

    Can you help me out?

    Happy hitting.

throws a wobbly - in this case stops working/breaks down

It can also mean get pretty angry.  As in, 'No thanks, I'd better not play another round on WGT, or my wife will really throw a wobbly'

    brolly - umbrella

The quote - The United States and Great Britain are two countries separated by a common language - attributed to George Bernard Shaw.

Variant: The English and the Americans are two peoples divided by a common language.

A couple of funny paragraphs from Wikiquotes:

'The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that English is about as pure as a cribhouse whore. We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.'

'It is a misfortune for Anglo-American friendship that the two countries are supposed to have a common language. A Frenchman in America is not expected to talk like an American, but an Englishman speaking his mother tongue is thought to be affected and giving himself airs. Or else he is taken for a German or a Dutchman, and is complemented on his grammatical mastery of the language of another nation.'

I make it that the last 3 people that have made leaving threads are still here. Go if you're going or stay if you're staying. You're not really that important in the scheme of things so just make up your minds.
