What you just described in the topic, could this not be considered "Electronic Waggling"? ala Jason Dufner !!

When I first started playing WGT, I would always take a full swing with any given club.

I would play very fast, many times, not making any adjustments for wind or spin. I almost never had a flakey meter. Your waggle method could explain this. Now that I am making adjustments and taking more care in my shots, I find that the meter has more of a tendency to become flakey. I will try the waggle method and see if it has a curing effect.

    thanks for the tip

One of the first tips against jumpy meter which I read here was to delay the release for a few seconds.

Me thinks it's not what you do but what you do not: release and shoot soon.

Have a look at the CPU load in the task manager. Shooting with high CPU load is like shooting with high heart rate: more probable jumpy meter.

When a shot is loaded, new picture and all, there is a lot of CPU action. When you change clubs or move the aimer, there is CPU action. And, it takes some time to cease - waggle or hold time, or, waiting time.

To raise the club causes visible CPU load only on PCs with low memory or aged systems, not on state-of-the-art machines. Thus you can wait or waggle - it will help most of the time. Sometimes, especially in MP games, it takes forever, then the general clock can be an enemy. Auto-release of the meter can also happen.

I've posted this before and, yes I got feedback that I was full of s***, but I can only say I'm not lying. I really feel that a jumpy meter is not your browser nor is it WGT. It's your computer.

I may have one swing in 100 that jerks or jumps. I immediately clean my cache (takes less than a minute) and I'm smooth again.

When I turn on my computer in the AM I read the forums, Than I clean my flash using this link I added, than I clean my cache. I do this after playing 1/2 dozen games and if I go back to the forums.

I use Firefox and windows 7. I do use a dedicated computer. I have no email nor do I search the web.  I do have spy-bot and Mal-Ware bytes, other than that It's strictly for the game. I use another computer if I want to try for free or buy credits, I play with Skype and that also is on computer #2.'

I realize everyone doesn't have multiple computers but you can keep what you have clean. Stay away from all these cure all programs that will keep your registry clean and trouble free. They create more problems than they cure. Just my opinion.
