    courteneyfish:

Has anyone ever made one of these threads and actually left?

Tibbets, Ncviz and AvatarLee come to mind.

    I'm sure there are others

No sh*t Sherlock.....though as it happens, not the ones you'd want !

You're starting to annoy me now, you rock up and think because you ARE a long standing member that your words deserve more gravitas, or that no-one will dare to argue....

WRONG, You earn respect in my book......not given out freely, just because.....

It's not like 'back in the day' you know, when there was a Cabal of good players.....

The stakes have been raised ?  Many around now and potentially many better than you, had they 100 levels 'under their belt' ?

Not sure what the poster expected.   Lou gave out the names of three of the well known names of WGT that said their goodbyes and went away for good.   You see a few hundred people say their goodbyes on the forum and come back in a few weeks.

I tend to think that you should say your goodbyes to your friends and leave quietly if you want to leave, not sure what the public profession of you leaving accomplishes.

Anyway to Wood, sorry to see you go, we have played a number of times.

The man wanted to say "Thanks" to the members he's played with, and possibly to WGT for what it was, and the enjoyable time he has spent here. Since he no longer feels it is enjoyable, he's saying goodbye. There is no call for derogatory comments. Yes, I am quite aware that there are those who say they are leaving, and don't, but, the negativity that pervades these forums does nothing to help WGT, or ourselves. Put yourselves in anothers' shoes, feel the dissapointment with being stalemated at every turn, completely unable to improve no matter the amount of practice, and then rethink things before you make such glib comments, please.
