Heads up that the limited edition all-black TaylorMade R1 Driver will be removed from the Pro Shop at the end of August.

For those of you who have been eyeing this top-performing virtual driver all summer, this is your last chance! Get it by 8/27 or you'll be left to simply admire your fellow WGTers' black R1s...

The Black R1 Driver unlocks at Levels 11, 48 and 93.

That 4 day discrepancy could be vital to those still out there bashing there brains out playing multiple rounds of Best of Par 3's

I'm happy for those who were fortunate to be in a position to get this club and hope that it lives up to your dreams. But,,,,, I will soon be at level 89 and won't be able to get this club for nearly 2 years at the rate I currently play. Am I going to hang around until then? Time will tell, but I probably won't. I seem to be just biding my time until something better comes along. Maybe perfect parallel will be my answer, maybe something else.

unfortunately for those players, august will end on a weekend
and I don't think wgt staff will show up for work on the weekend
just to appease a few latecomers.. so all you 92'ers,
time for you to get crazy and pull some all nighters.

there's 35,000 points or more to be made in a week
the rest is a question of how bad do you really want it.

I have a feeling there are changes to the driver lineup coming soon.

Everybody who wants the R1 and doesn't have one will be 1,000,000 XP away from level 98. Coincidentally, I made my first million tonight. It took 459 CDP and 1227 ranked rounds, 95+% of which were in tournament play for max XP. More than half of my RRs have been full 18s (632 to 595).

I'm sure there are many players who play more than that - but there are very few who play a lot more than that. So, if everybody who wants to buy the R1 is a million or more XP away, WGT will only sell a handful of the things in the next year.

If you're not going to make it, don't worry too much. They'll either lower the bar for the white R1 (and R11S) permanently or introduce something competitive (G25?) to sell in the low 90s, probably for about the same price as the R1.
