Agreed with Jim here. Yes you can play a manipulated "hook" or "slice"but I have seem many a player (including myself) get themselves into deep trouble playing this. Think good course management and percentages before you attempt this.
In RL I always used to fade the ball, and could not draw the ball for years then one day in a round the unheard of happened - I hooked the ball (and yes just like WGT, there was a lake). After the round I worked on my stance and grip and from that day on I play with a draw as my main shot, but now can still fade the ball if required. In this game, I always try to hit the ball straight and allow for the wind!
