    First love the game.

But have a question why when I was pro could I consistently hit driver between 280 and 310 yrds , but same clubs and balls rarely even hit 280 as a master?

Being master should not devalue what your equipment can do.

Still hit fairways 80% and yes still hit excellent on meter so why the big drop off in yards?

    Thanks crgade

The only thing I can think of is, the Master tee-boxes are further back. That's why it's a good idea to upgrade your driver when advancing to the master tier.

Heh-You could put the tee boxes in China and 280-310 would still be 280-310. That's an interesting difference.

Do you have any specific holes where you notice this CR?

I only had a pro Rapture Driver as a pro so I could never hit it 300 yards.  I don't believe that there is any difference that would make you lose 30 yards just by turning master.  I suspect that you are not taking into account the difference in tees, also an average drive with pro equipment is not going to average 300 yards but around 275.

Your average drive (Reading your stats) is only 258.

Playing St Andrews with a 30 mph tail wind may have carried one of your drives well over 300 but a 255 yard Rapture driver will never average 280+ like a Super Tri will.

    Time to upgrade my friend:)

If you are noticing on certain holes, maybe the point of the ball landing is not as favorable as when you were pro landing possibly in better positions that take a nice hop.

I dont doubt what you are saying, but I had the rapture, and rarely average anything more then 260-265.  Longest drive with it was 309.  and like goldcard wrote your stats suggest 258, but not sure how much of that was the rapture vs when you were amatuer.

It has also been mentioned that WGT will adjust the speed of the fairways occasional, so maybe its a combo of non favorable landing zones and softer fairways.

    Neil,

I think you hit part of the nail on the head. I noticed the same when I went from Master to Pro and a lot has to do with where the ball is landing on the fairway and a few other variables I believe are built into the programming.

Will replay the courses and try to remember which ones would be able to hit over 300yds.
