My first suggestion would be for more camera angles, because often errant shots end up in unplayable or nearly unplayable lies.  After two or three wasted shots you find you have to hit out backwards or sideways. This is discouraging.  Also it would be nice to be able to see a better topography for the greens. I find the little moving dots difficult to get an accurate feel of what is actually there.  Again more camera angles would help.  Also noticed there seems to be discreprencies in the green speeds, in that sometimes tournament speed is about 40% faster and other times it is 50% faster. You should be able to work a percentage out for green speeds.  One other thing is that the business of lost balls.  I quit buying better balls because every time I use them my swing meter goes crazy and causes mishits, which lose the ball.  As a golfer, I haven't had to buy balls for years, because I find more than I lose, (quality balls at that). Oh, and by the way I am a true sportsman, I don't find them before the second bounce. LOL

Green speed varies by course, and will vary somewhat based on the line of the putt.

Uphill putts have to be hit harder than downhill putts.

If it's windy enough, the wind has to be taken into account too. An uphill putt that is also into the wind needs to be hit harder than an uphill putt with no wind.

On tournament speed greens I use putt stroke strength factors of 0.75 to 1.8. In other words if a putt is10 feet and uphill a lot, I may use a putt strength of 13.5 feet (a factor of 0.75), while on a very downhill 10 foot putt I may use a putt strength of 5.5 feet (a factor of 1.8),

In general, putts hit hard break less than putts hit soft, so uphill putts tend to break quite a bit less than downhill putts do.

Better balls generally offer a slower meter speed.

Meter performance consistency is almost entirely reliant on your computer.

Clear the Flash cache, disable any unneeded applications (particularly any that may be running in the background), and close any unneeded window tabs.

It would be nice if some general green terrain markings could be added to the hole display on the right of the screen.

Photo sessions on the courses are finished long ago - no more views available.

    Green speeds vary.

Ball sales are this site's entry fee - fortunately variable at our discretion. When comparing it to the real game, would you rather pay a greenfee (real STA and RSG are close to 200 $)?

For 18 holes, Pebble Beach is only $450 per person + cart.

They will include the cart if you stay in one if their rooms that start at $745 a night at The Lodge.

WGT has to take between 200,000 and 300,000 photos to put each course online.

I also wanted to mention, in real golf we don't get any markings on the greens.and many of the more subtle breaks are hard to see. WGT's system makes those subtle undulations more apparent.

I'm not so sure about that. At one time we had a camera behind # 18 @ St. Andrews but some time ago it went away. At least they could put that one back.

A former Boss of mine said St. Andrews was $900. That's about 4 1/2 to 5 times as much as I have spent here total.

Just checked on the web, Green fee at St Andrews in high season is 155 pounds, give or take around $200 so if your boss says $900, he must have played 4 1/2 rounds!!

    just saying!!

I've heard of that camera - that would be a nice addition...

The plain greenfee of the Old Course at St.Andrews is approx. 200 $ as confirmed here. Alas, the path to a tee time is hard - request in the previous October or ballot or a day or more on stand-by...

When I applied at a British travel agency for a night in the Old Course Hotel + a round on the old course out of curiosity, the answer was 890 GBP (1400 $!) per person in a double room, one night with breakfast, a round each on Old Course and New Course (quotation 3/2013, proposed booking date 5/2013).

I gladly refused and played the New Course for 10% of that, and 27 holes on the Himalayas for 3 (three) GBP. The fun of it: priceless! For the whole amount, I had accomodation and golf for nine days in Angus and Fife!

It's still there, but you can only use it in C-T-T-H games.

If I could play STA and RSG, I would be more than happy to pay $200 greens fee.  I play many of the courses in and around, Las Vegas every year and have also played, Myrtle Beach, Hawaii, and Florida, including Bay Hill.  I don't mind paying the extra to play courses like these its just not something I could do every day.
