Don't know if this link will work but its a tee shot at st andrews with a 20 MPH R 2 L  cross wind .

I put my marker on the Right edge and dinged the shot. so the wind should have carried it to center of fairway or further  left but his being  WGT  it goes straight shot to the rough on the RIGHT  then bounces from the rough picking up speed and goes cross  ways to the other side into the rough . Is this physical possible?

I will offer you my 2 cents.

You started off getting hit with a bit of what I've seen called "deviation" around the forum. Despite you aiming right edge, it appears it started out further right than that.

Secondly, the small hills on Andrews are a ***. You hit it just right, coming from that angle and it bounced left. I can't believe that this would be your first bad bounce, I get them nightly.

As a result of the angle and slope of the hill you bounced off, it did gain some speed so it ended up on the left.

    In short, yes it's possible.

I would have figured the R1 driver to carry past that mound.  As is was, it only carried 247yds and it was a bit down wind too!  That's why it hit the mound.  Did you use top spin?

I appreciate what you told me and accept your explanation. I get my share of bad bounces

but the severity of this one and that I played the wind to move it over to the fairway not leave

it on the right side and the fact that in hitting the rough in previous shots usually

stops or slows down the ball,  not fling it wildly onward brought  me outta my chair with

    frustration

Oh the unpredictability of the WGT game continues on :)
