Hell, I misunderstood the hole thing! :-( (should have read it properly LOL) Thanks Cerino.

I was hoping for a real NEW "fix" not for the fix of the last update...damn.

Well, still the chance to try UL with the mulligan & the starter balls, whenever the UL "fix" is done.

A real big mess I must admit, WGT.

    Eric

EDIT, just played 2 holes at St George and did not "feel" any deviation due to the shot lie. Corwyn & Cerino have confirmed the deviation tho.

    srellim234:
Take a mulligan and the stroke is disregarded but it should still be there as a ball strike with regards to ball life.

    Agree ....

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulligan_(games)#Mulligan_in_golf

"....In golf, a mulligan is a stroke that is replayed from the spot of the previous stroke without penalty...."

So in essence, you are putting the ball back where it was, not hitting it. So where on earth do WGT get the idea that taking a mulligan is two hits on the ball I do not know - unless as you allude to, it is their way of getting more $$$ by hoping people do not realise that their implementation is skewed.... ball hits should be number of times the ball is hit .... simple as ....

So there was I thinking yeh, I will use that feature .... well guess what unless WGT change the ball hit logic I ain't using it any more :)

The indicator box shows black box (level lie) all the time. The lies aren't level so it's like playing without any indication of the lie at all. Corwyn and I have been playing it with starters and so far he shot par on Merion and I shot par on Olympic. We played together today on the back side of St A in heavy wind and I was able to shoot par. We kinda like it in a sick stupid way for how incredibly hard it makes the game but it has to be fixed for mortals. ;).

WGT is not going to change the Uneven Lies game play just  fix the lie box so it actually shows the lies.

Folks, load up starter balls, and give the UEL a try right now, while it's still broken. After your tee shot, watch the ball roll on the fairway very carefully... and try to gauge whether you're going to get a left/right, up/down hill lie.

Play for GIR, and see how close you can get to a par round. (And there's always the option of 'free' mulligans in this practice mode too).

To my mind, although the UEL is broken, WGT have accidentally created another great form of gameplay. It's a fantastic test of course management and shotmaking under pressure. So many of us are jaded by the darts game: Here's an opportunity to shift your perspective entirely, and get a fresh challenge.

I'm almost serious in wanting WGT to offer this as an option in the game menu ... although who knows what else might go wrong if they did!

'Blind Unevens' rocks!!! Give it a try today!

LOL mate, people are not very positive about UL, this blind stuff is mostly for us, crazy UL lovers.

Careful Corwyn these humans don't have a big "S" on their chests like we do. ;)

I said the same thing months ago back when saving and reloading in the middle of the round caused the lie markers to disappear. Just eliminate some of the quirks (like it being literally impossible to advance the ball from steep hills) and I think it's the way to go for the future. It's way more realistic than the cartoon golf we normally play here.

I just love how they added "It will add to your ball hit loss", with so many people complaining about the "hit loss" of balls ( I have never worn out a real ball in my life), they add something to make the balls vanish faster. I understand they started the hit loss to make money in the beginning, but now with all of the ads that are on here, they have to be making a ton. How about increasing the amount of hits on balls (especially the high credit balls) or just doing away with it (money still made with water and weed hit's). I love playing on WGT don't get me wrong and know he hit loss will never end ( I know, "just use free balls".
