It is the full putting lesson box popping up when all players are on the putting green (in alternate shot)... you can check the box and minimize it to the side, but on the first green, it pops up with every putt with every player. You have to keep closing the tutorial box. And this happens even when you have the lessons box turned to off in game options. On subsequent greens, it still shows the lessons tab on the side, but doesn't pop up anymore. Happened on both alternate shot games I shot this morning. Both on Merion, one front nine and one back nine...
