Sorry but you may have to clear everything again . Especially after an update . It sounds like you have a bug . Try playing 3 holes random stroke play , and use the WGT free ball . Then go back and play again with your regular ball . Give that a try .  Hope this helps . Happy Swinging :-)

The only thing that will cause you to have a jerky swing meter while putting when your meter is smooth for all other clubs is having the putting grid set to on. Go to settings and turn it off and your putting meter should then be smoother.

Use Google Chrome or a chrome based browser like comodo dragon.

if that doesn't work, which it should. completely reboot your system and start it from scratch, nice and sparkly clean and fresh. save all of your files you want kept at dropbox.com  and never have things on your pc

I think this is what I call 'putter stutter' and I was plagued with it in my earlier days on here. I did change browser to Comodo Dragon, but more importantly, I now play on the medium flash quality setting, in the game options menu. It's not quite as sharp as it was and the occasional flag-stick doesn't show up when using the green forward feature, but it's improved the stuttering considerably. I also have the minimum number of features checked in that menu (e.g. I have putting grid, reflections and flag animations off). Good luck with it mate, because putting on here is hard enough at the best of times and this can make it almost impossible !

What I have found the jerkiness with the meter when putting, vs irons ets.,  is the additional Cpu usage caused by the amount of dot animations and releasing your swing before your cpu has a chance to settle. Make sure you have the putting grid turned off in menu options, then hold your back swing to allow your cpu usage to drop and you should incounter less stutter.

One of the tricks I use for a better meter is to run a cpu/ram meter while playing. Then I can see prior to swinging the cpu activity % fluctuations and wait until they stop prior to taking a back swing making sure my mouse pointer is still also, then at the top of my back swing hold the swing until any activity stops before my release. Stopping at the top of your back swing and holding allows the cpu % to settle from the animation movement caused by the back swing.

You'd be suprised to see what activity there is just with the mouse pointer movement since it is an animation, as well as the animation for the swing meter draw. all of that runs through ones cpu not ram. It is more noticable on single & duo core processors vs Quad core.

Thank you all for the replies,I do usually have my putting grid set to on and my flash quality set to best I will turn the grid off and try a different flash quality setting, will also hold my putt for a few more seconds to let it settle, will get back to you all and let you know results, thanks again....Dave

edit...Thank you all for the help and advice,I reset my options to medium flash turned off the putting grid and waited for the cpu to settle,so much smoother now ,played the par 3's 18 holes shot a 45,not my best but sooooo much smoother thanks again for all the help,,,now if I could just pull the damn flag LOL....Dave
