I do agree though that the tees should be disclosed on any tourney, just like the greens speed, wind and hole location are, it shouldn't be that hard

Revealing the tees and green speed would just give players a chance to practice with those conditions.  By making them a surprise it puts players on a more of a even playing field.

Let me understand then Mike. What you are saying is Pros/TP's have a chance with Tour legends hitting off forward tees?

No, that's not what I'm saying...

What I'm saying is...well...let's look back at Open Quals from the tips...Masters, TP's and Pros (for the most part) had no chance at qualifying..but, iff allowed to play from the white tees, etc...then they have a chance at putting up a competitive score.

Sure, TL's and Legends will most likely rise to the top, but why would a TP or Pro even want to play if they couldn't reach a fairway, etc?

This allows all players a chance at scoring well, regardless of tier:)

I understand playing from different tees is part of the fun and the challenge but I hope WGT have stopped these tourneys as being able to affect averages........any Tour Legends or Legends getting their average down by using these front tee tourneys should be ashamed lol.............Don't count these tourneys towards averages unless the player's normal tee position is where the tourney is set.

    Just saying..............

    Why would it matter?

Look at my score history...27 and 32, etc...I don't care about an average...as it's meaningless...you honestly think TL's with 1000+ rounds worry about that stuff?

There are no awards for lowering ones average...lol!

    What 10 credits!!

    Why make a comment then?

    Chinajohn:

I'm pretty sure no-one will be overly concerned but contrary to my post in the other thread on this tournament as you have to pay to enter I will not be participating. I don't play this game for credits, nothing against those that do, just my personal position is all.

Because I had posted that I would take part, so I was correcting my previous post. Nothing more.

    Curious though CJ...

Had there not been a 10 cr entry fee...would you have still joined the tourney with a chance to win some credits?
