Relief Zones

  Hey all. Apologies in advance if this is a repost anywhere, but here goes...

  With a particular reference to the Kiawah 17th hole, according to the rules of Golf, whenever a ball is hit into, say, a water hazard, the next shot is typically taken from a designated relief or drop zone. In the case of the 17th, you end up taking your next shot from within a sand area.

  What does the rest of the WGT community think? Would love to know your opinions, and how this could potentially be put into the game.

  I respectfully disagree: A "dropping zone" is no part of the definitions and articles of the Rules of Golf. Rule 26 defines the relief procedures and options for water hazards without a reference to a dropping zone.

  Furtheron, there are no dropping zones on WGT courses. They rather are dropping spots selected by WGT. They deliberately drops the ball for us - no in-game options for us players.

  Third, most of the sand areas in Kiawah are not bunkers - by local definition for the real course.

  Apart from that, I agree that this is one of the ugliest dropping spots in the game, closely followed by that spot behind the tree at CCC.
