Is it just me, or has all of the greens looked like Marion lately? I have either been putting my ball in some new spots or the greens are breaking a lot more. I struggle putting anyway but lately WOW. I'm getting 3 ft. putts with 6-9 inches of break. It doesn't seem to make any difference which course I play, even on St. Andrews I'm seeing  breaks like you have on #2 on every hole! Maybe its the Golfing Gods taking revenge on something I did . If so please go somewhere else!!!! LOL.

    Jim,

Nope, it's not just you, I've noticed most of 'em  look like this.

I must agree with you Jim. After a nine month lay-off from WGT and only several days playing again, I've noticed a new rascality with all of the greens. Subtle little suprises that are in concert with a new, unreliable dependence on the orange-red-black-blue-light blue speed indicators that mean little more than nothing. Putting has forever been my weakest link and seems more so when equiped only with a halo of question marks...but I still love to play, especially after the lay-off.

No sir,it's not just you.For the last couple weeks,it seems like every hole I've played has had a nasty break to it no matter which side of the cup I put the ball on,or which course I play.To add insult to injury,I'm noticing that the break isn't always what it's showing,either,i.e.putts that show left/right break that either don't break at all or break harder than they're showing,3 inch uphill putts that roll like 3 inch downhill putts,or putts that roll right over the hole and keep going.Add to that "wind" that sometimes completely disappears only to reappear next shot,or shots that jerk hard left/right even when you ding them, and yeah,it gets frustrating. This game is hard enough to consistently play decent as it is without throwing variables in the mix that may or may not affect a shot,or affect one shot and not the next.

No doubt there'll be some of the old guard here who'd probably chastise us for "whining" and tell us to quit complaining and learn how to putt, and I'd agree with that sentiment for the most part, but for the past couple weeks,it seems as if my whole game is out of whack, and either I've forgotten how to play,or the site's got some issues.

    Marion's greens aren't that bad.  It's Merion's that really kill you :P.
