  On this hole they start you in the sand with a 6 iron, 140 yds to the hole.  You have a 2-5% lie in the sand.  You are level with the flag. 

  I have tried playing this shot with all of my irons and I can not get the dang ball onto the green.  I have tried striking the ball high and low, using punch shots.  How do you get this ball on the green?

  I get it on usually like this:  Aim a few feet left..  (The ball rolls downhill once on the green)  3H about 95% almost full backspin...

  I use a 4 iron and aim to the left with as much backspin as possible. If you hit it perfecly you'll stick on the green 50% ofthe time. I've played it around 100 times and it's what works best for me. Good luck.

  I use the 4 iron usually full power. If aimed right, I've come within 2ft. after it rolls back from the fringe. I also usually aim to the right of the pin because there seems to be a natural break to the left at impact. Hope this helps.
