    togemag:

Tough It Out, not even started to explain what happen to me and CD. Kept getting knocked off, CD has some of my scorecard of the first 9. Then we had to get the back 9 in, which I have.

I want to say this about CD and Corwyn, they both have taken the time to organize this Tourney. But have also help me with getting my games in & posting pics (I just go crazy when I can not finish something I started), both of them went a step or five more to help.

    Thanks: Dale

    Thanks Dale.

Today Dale Toughed It Out about as much as anyone. We got going on the front but his load times were very slow. He hung in there and played very solid on the front. Dale shot a 41 on the front and 83 total. It really wasn't fair how the game got disco'd after we played the 15th. I saved the card on every hole just in case. I'll show the card below. Dale kept getting some of the worst luck I've seen. We both got out of rhythm with the slow load times and our scores reflected it.

Below is all the screen shots I have from the front 9 and the rest of the back 9.

Here's the first attempt at the back 9 up to the 15th. If this was his back 9 scorecard with the 3 pars he finished with from 16-18., he'd have shot 4 strokes less. It just wasn't fair.

    Hi OeJ,

I'm trying to get this done for folks... but with so many 2nd Round matches unfinished, it's been really challenging. All of my available time has been spent chasing up people or marking. I'll hopefully have some time tonight to make some more match-ups. At worst I'll have full list up by tomorrow morning WGT time (even if we aren't able to make it too close to leaderboard position).

    Apologies for the delay!

    Corwyn

P.S. I'm going to pair you up with Macduff10. Mac is travelling right now, and is on Pacific Time instead this week. She asked me to go ahead and pair her up and she'd make it work. (Your 6am-12noon would be PST 5-11pm)

    Dale, Cerino,

Firstly, thanks for heroic efforts in getting this round played. It sounds like you had quite the hassle...

My understanding of our Guidelines for Interrupted Rounds (which I wrote, so I should understand them, lol) is that the first score for particular holes counts... and that, when restarting a 9 in order to finish a round, you are essentially trying to get back to the point where you got disconnected, and then carry on from there.

Thus, Dale's better scores for holes 10-15 first time around are the ones that count; and actually I count 5 shots better off: +2 instead of +7 for those holes. Adding 3 closing pars on 16-18, and we get a back 9 of 37, to go with a front 9 of 41, for a 78.

Since no stats were available or submitted for the front 9, my assumption is that Dale accepts that he is now out of the running for some of the stats prizes. Our guidelines do allow someone to replay the entire round in order to stay in the Stats, but with the proviso that your score becomes the average between the 2 scores. (see link above for full details).

Hope that all makes sense, Corwyn

I want to thank Corwyn  for putting this on and I want to express my appreciation of this monumental task! While he is trying to assemble this entire thing, I am finding that I can't even get my own rounds in...

Having said that I regretfully and respectfully withdraw. I was barely able to get the first 27 holes played and I am now behind. I apologize to all.I run a country club and I have put on tournaments like these in the past and I know how difficult it is.

So, I would like to sponsor 1000 credits to the highest 72 hole score. I think that just getting these game played is an accomplishment!

    Thanks again everyone!!

That Par 4 9th really had it in for you guys.  Sorry mate.  If I was a betting man, I'd wager you had a strong headwind off the tee, your drives got buried in the weeds and the fescue, and you were unable to punch back into the fairway to save bogey.  bhoese and myself got extremely lucky here, as we had the tailwind and both found the fairway with ease.
