    Hi all,

Since we cannot "see" each other when playing a match, I wonder some what many of you are doing when I am waiting 55 out of 60 seconds on each shot :)

I admit I am somewhat impatient (probably why I cannot reach the really low scores) and often play at a high pace.  I'm not the best at dinging and find that a practice swing usually helps.  How many practice swings are normal for you?

Don't know how much it would slow our computers, but it would be nice to "see" when a person is taking a practice swing (or some statement like "lining up putt" when the opponent is moving his/her aimer).  Also, shouldn't we not be allowed to practice swing when in a bunker?

    Any thoughts?

My "pre-shot" routine I'm afraid is not for the faint of heart. Aside from using reverse chip or pitch view if available on approach shots, moving marker approx. 4yds  ahead of pin to allow for roll out ,  and sideways to allow for windage, taking into consideration the flagstick is approx. 7'ft. high and using that as a horizontal reference, and of course, always checking putter scale last( if on green or fringe). I then proceed to beer in copius amounts, perhaps take a "shot" and then proceed to "Manhattens" after which I blame WGT for everything.

    Official disclaimer:

Just because I may be intoxicated at the point where I blame WGT does not mean they are not entirely to blame.

    Doc :)

    routine breakdown:

     - forward view to green in chip mode

     - allow for drift and green slope

     - back to avi & calculate shot distance

     - apply backspin needed

     - determine mtr power needed

     - backswing and hold for few seconds

     - let go a ripper in case i need to deflate myself pre-swing

     - swear loudly in advance in case i'll miss the ding

     - swear loudly anyway when i do hit the ding .. go-to line is usually "fck yeah!!"

     - swear loudly again if ball doesn't end up inside 2yds from pin .. go-to line usually "u gotta be 'kin kidding me WGT!!"

     - all this while straddling a broom & stirring a brewing pot of magic potion

    WGT shot is not difficult:

    Concentrate your mind

Set up your distance and backspin tenderly

Aim at the pin, accounting for wind

    Unleash your annihilation of love!

    That's my pre-shot routine anyway...

    1.  turn on cheat program.

    2. tap in for the birdie.

    3.  open another Negra Modelo

    OR.

Just feckin wing it m8....guess at wind effect....guess at power needed....guess when to click...guess how far that 180 yard iron will really go when the green is elevated 11 feet....guess how to read that 23 ft. putt.....guess why my putting average stays around 1.6.....(guess why I'm not vey good.)   guess I'll have another Negra Modelo. In the end, it all ends up being about the Dark Mexican beer.

The menu screen going grey isn't really watching your opponent play a practice swing is it!!

I find it truly amazing watching my opponent play, they always seem to land where I want to 100%.

yet I struggle to even make 30%.
