7 over!!! woohoo!

  I've only been a member for a few weeks, but tonight (9/9/13) I played the week 37 single play 9-hole.  Scrored 7 over par!  For me that's pretty good.  I've never been under 10.

  Anybody else suck as bad as I do?  Or does anyone remember the first time they walked away with a  score they felt good about?

  Firstly, welcome to the game and it is really refreshing to hear someone who is not complaining.

  Yes I do remember my first sub par round - two under for the 18 holes (I only used the starters clubs at that stage) and it still rates as my best round on WGT, although I have score a tad lower.

  You have only just started so just try and set goals that are realistic for you and just enjoy the game. To get better takes a lot of practice but read and search the forums as there is a wealth of great info in here.

  I agree, alanti.

  As the saying goes, "It's a journey". You'll have your ups and downs. Don't go chasing a destination. Forget about levels and tiers. The journey is always more enjoyable than the destination.

  Welcome and congratulations on your achievement.

  A few weeks ago, I got a challenge from a friend. He shot a 36 on the back 9 at Royal St. George. I hadn't had much luck there but I thought I'd give it a try.

  I shot par! A 35! I couldn't believe it.

  That was my most memorable score thus far.
