     fantastic new club website here

I haven't been here for that long but have put on a fair few rounds in a couple of months.

    • Can't beat practice. especially now with mulligans. start a round and purposely put yourself in difficult rough, bunkers, testing putts. take those shots over and over.
    • Get Maxthon to play WGT, i've used pretty much every browser and love this.
    • Auto caddy is the bane of my life, in so many ways especially for putting.  get yourself into a putting routine and stick to it for EVERY SINGLE PUTT making sure you are using the correct distance putt.
    • If you start a swing, then notice that you are using the wrong club/wrong distance etc and you see it in time, just let the swing complete without clicking to stop on/near ding. it won't cost you a shot.
    • get wedges ASAP. single best upgrade you can get to knock shots off your round :)

Practice, and be sure to hit fringe or green when the ball lands.

Read the tips in the FAQ section =>

    and practice ;)

Only chip as a last resort and if the green is sloping never chip at all.

    Sloping which way, Ms Fish?

Chipping is another part of the golf tool-kit; use it when it's appropriate, and understand when you'd best use another shot type. I don't use chip when the green is sloped down to the hole. I do use the chip shot to flat, side-hill, or uphill pins from 10 yds or so and in.

Proper spin for the lie, green speed and final roll-out, along with proper aim to account for break along the post-flight roll, and you can get it to tap-in range or even in the cup.

The CG wedges are great because the mid-wedge (80 full) and lob-wedge (60 full) are pretty precise for total rated chip distance from a clean lie: just shy of full backspin will get you the rated yardage (11 yds & 7 yds, respectively), chipping to tourney greens.

From rough you do pay a yardage penalty which varies depending on applied spin. I like to 'just bury' the spin dot into the top layer of ruff.
