Welcome to the first

of what we hope will be many good and friendly leagues in the Time Zones Golf Club League. The first league will last six weeks approximately, with 6 club matches each, clubs playing each other twice. 12 games each week for each club. Teams of 12 chosen from a panel of up to 16 players maximum.

Players will forfeit matches not played unless notification is given for re-arrangement. The league will run smoother if we can complete the games within the dates specified if possible. With a large panel, it should be possible to play all matches.

Winners should post results in 'reply' below and include a brief match report if you want to. Check that your figures are correct before posting and scores should be net of handicaps. Constructive comments/criticism etc about the league and ideas for future competitions are also welcome.

The time for completing delayed matches is no later than the Sunday after the closing dates (Fridays) listed. No game/no fault = void match and no points awarded.

The continental United States (the 48 contiguous states) is divided into 4 time zones:

First points on the board for the Players Only. I've played much better on St. A., hit all the fairways and all but one green, but couldn't sink a decent putt. Scraped the two points on the last when opponent missed a four footer for a point. 71-72 and two points.

mrindone d. islandergolf 66 - 71. I was trailing by 2 shots after the 2nd hole. I luckily righted the ship to pull it out. Another great opponent / new friend. Really enjoy this new league , lets keep it going everybody !!!!

WGT didn't want us to play for awhile, but ended up having an amazing front nine to beat Fjdiehl . Score was 64 (me) 73 (Fjdiehl)

I beat IanGBridge 68 to 73. Thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm glad to see the tournament is running successfully so far.

Result......Kassimilo aka Mandy the Minx....73 v The Dogleg(Friendly active) 79....Very pleasant game with a very nice Aussie.....He tried to pull me back but his putting let him down...think it was all those rabbits I placed in the holes...Dog was Robbed so many times we had to call out The Flying Squad...but Minxy Won!!!....Yipee....!!!

lukewestwood- -63 beat fjdiehl -68

from tee to grn i was outstanding- some of my best golf for a long time, my putting was rubbish, but thankfully i managed to win. the scores dont reflect how close it was as my opponent triple bogeyed the 18th

played my game against GJ 1948 aka Jerry from United Federation he got of to bad start but played better on back 9 just not his night i won with score of 65 GJ 86

Hi,

Beat labossm 69-72 however there was some disagreement about the handicapps. He said he had an email that L-TM was 2 handicapp whereas I have one that says L-TM is 1 handcapp. Did not matter this time but it should be looked into before it becomes a problem. We had a great game enjoyed playing him very much.
