    Just noticing this now. I was wondering what match you were referring to. That match was void. I won't change it now, it could cause an unwanted precedent.

    The league ends midnight Pacific Standard Time ( PST ), Monday am , November 4th. All matches not completed by then are void and no points awarded.  No exceptions.

     

     

     

    This was the 1st chance Shoahey and I could get our match in which would apply to Ianzzz's post.   Also our match has been completed by November 4th, which would meet your post's rule.

     

    I believe that my match against shoahey should count.

    mickcharvill - mrindone  match #6 .   TIE  64 - 64. Clutch closing by Mick , birdied the final 4 holes while I managed 2 birds in the final 4 holes. Very , very tight & tense match all the way. Mick was a tough competitor and fun to compete with. Congrats to Mick for a real quality ending, it was very impressive !!!

    I need to get the other captains opinions on this. A wooden spoon is at stake here!  :-) Players are welcome to make any comments they want.  

    The points WDECKER2 make above don't stand up, that Nov. 4th deadline notice refers to the last round, all the other rounds were completed. 

    Regarding Ian's text about 'results' not entered', I'm not sure of his thinking there, because the 4th round table was done and posted.    

    I wouldn't like to contemplate the league being decided on matches like this so far after the round end dates. That's why I mentioned 'precedents' in my initial reply above.

    Their are bound to be teething problems with this or any new league, a few minor unnecessary things happened that took up peoples time, we can only learn for future leagues. 99%+ of the league was positive and good fun.

    Let me start by saying my opinion would be the same even if Shoahey was the winner of the match mentioned above.

    In my opinion, I don't believe deadlines for matches should be extended regardless of reason.

    Since they were extended throughout the league season, my thoughts are as follows . . . a match is beyond the deadline whether extended by one hour or one month and should therefore be counted as long as the match has been played prior to the specified end of the league which is Midnight PST on November 4th.

    If your original post would have stated it referred to the last round, I would not have even played the match.  Also, regardless what Ian was thinking, his post was posted as is.

    To anyone that was keeping up with what was happening in the league, it would be obvious I was referring to the last round, as could be seen, all other rounds and tables were completed.  Somebody should have brought that match to mine or Ian's attention that players were still trying to play it.  As I said to Tony earlier, better communication from somebody and this would have been avoided.  

    There was no problem with the other delayed games, simply because we knew what was happening and one way or another they were sorted within a few days, not almost two weeks.

    In future, a longer period will be allowed to complete fixtures with a definite deadline date, and no extensions.
