  Sorry guys i will no longer be in charge of my team as i have been kicked out of the club for telling an interfering member to keep his nose out of my running of the team. It turn into a public spat and i was found to be at fault so was kicked (he is still in the club).Thanks to all i have had the pleasure to meet and good luck to you all,Clive (billcliff ex derbyshire gcc)

  Round 5 Merion , mrindone 66 - bencat 72. Win for Players Only CC. I played a pretty solid round while Ben had a bucket full of near miss putts. If a few of those drop it would have been a dogfight to the end. Ben is another great guy and competitor I have had the pleasure to have met during this competition. Keep swinging and good luck all.

  A quick note to say Stevielee has left the DGCC and his matches in week 4 and 5 will be taken up by MarkWBailey.  I have asked Mark to contact his opponents and try to get the games played asap,

  Played gj1948 at Merion and won 77 - 86 (84 net). A win for players only cc. Not at all pretty. My putting was for ***, my opponents was worse. Just about sums it up.

  Just finished my round at Merion with Billyliar, The course maintained its tough attitude and gave us both a rough time. Billyliar was much more consistent than I was, and my putter didn't show up on a few holes, At the end i was able to chip a birdie putt in on the 18th to bring my score to within one shot. Well at least it isn't the L. Thx Billyliar for challenging game.
