Wanted to keep it something that players got to try but not something that they could practice and practice on.  Besides single play makes the scores a little more realistic and fun to see.

    Completely agree.

like scoring 21 is a little more realistic...yeh right .

But it's ok for you to score -7 over 9 holes on Beth....

Wind ya neck in....( there's always one ! )

Hit the lip on the way by (10th at Congressional), then nearly came back all the way off the hill.

Finished at even par, using the starter balls. Going old-school!

I can only imagine what would have happened with starter clubs AND balls.

Read the starter balls rec a little too late but super fun and great challenge to putt.  Hit ball a 15 feet right on #11 St. Andrews and it started going down the hill.  Ended up 73 feet away.  Whew that was a lucky 2 putt I had there.

Keep it coming. It was fun and I will play with starters next time.

that's because people play it over and over. at least make a relevant case instead of speaking stupidly

I played my round with starter clubs and ball. Shot a 34 I think.

So far in this round, we have a roughly 50% completion rate.  Congrats to all who have finished and to those who quite.... Join the club!  I only made it to hole 7 hahahaha

The only reason I finished is that I was just too stupid to quit. 6 bogeys and a double before parring the last 2 for a +8 35.

A suggestion for the next one. Go the other way. Ultra slow green speeds. Like 1/2 the slow speed. Where we really have to hammer the ball to reach the hole.

Thanks for the Kudo's, I was  bit giddy after seeing where I stood in the standings.

For all else, do an intense search of "Internet Cheat 3000"...and follow all step by step instructions.

There may be a newer version out...but see what works best for you.

I hope that people play to the fun spirit of THIS challenge and don't reach for their wedges on the green when some distance away.

Nice again!! Please do Oakmont Full 18 with brutal winds and this green speed as a final, will be very interesting!

Tried to avoid the putting this time by acing all holes...:

... but as you might guess, it only worked once. =)

    Cheers, Hans
