Grandfather at 45!

    I have just been informed by my 20 year old daughter that she is expecting.

    Not sure at the moment whether to laugh or cry, do l want to be a grandfather at my age!!!

    l'm 46 on thursday, a different sort of birthday gift i spose!!

    Who are you kidding? You'll love having a grandkid. Congratulations man!

    In my town we have grannies in their twenties ! Hope that puts it into perspective for you, lol.

    congrats........that´s pretty cool......with 86 you will be great-great-grandfather..............and now I´ll have a little conversation with my daughter ,-))))

    I became a Great Gncle at that age.  I think Great Uncle sounds eccentric LOL.  Fortunately (I think kinda LOL) I am known by my great niece as Granny's brother.  Good luck with it to you all mate.  How the years flew :)

    You will love being a grandpa.  Have them visit and play with them, then send them home.lol

    My oldest daughter is 13 (good bye hair lol) and my mother is 51. 

     

    My mother was 16 when she had me though.  I'm 35, and when my mother was 35 I had already been in the Army for almost 2 years.   Hard to imagine what that would be like. :)

    Well to be a grandpa is alright, its the sleeping next to a grandma that's the  problem mate !!!
