Alberto .. I understand your points and I agree .. the folks who did this worked hard and came up with a set of rules that will work. And I said many times I love the format .. it's a great tournament.
However I made a suggestion which I thought would make it work a bit better. I didn't see one person in the forum "demand a change" ... if I missed it show me. I know you agree that it is fair to make a suggestion. I too have run several very large community tourneys and there is always room to make them work better. Right Buggy ??? :). I repeat I love the format - I just don't think it's necessary to spread any tournament out for over 4 months.
Folks go on holiday for weeks at a time. I for 1 may not be around for the holidays and I also travel for work sometimes a week at a time - and may not be around for a second of the matches. Should I advance to round 2, two of my opponents will have an easy win. That ruins a bracket. I suspect others may have the same issue. Miss one week and why bother playing the rest. That gives the some players an unfair advantage.
Given the format - all I suggested was - put up all the links and have folks play their matches when it is convenient for them. Heck leave them open for all 7 weeks if you want. If you like to play 1 match a week - go for it. If you'd rather play them all at once ... you can do that also. I don't see a difference + then you won't have to be dependent on WGT every week.
Anyway it was just a suggestion is not a demand ... perhaps the folks will look at it for next tournament. If not that's ok with me .. i'll continue to play one 9 hole match per week (yawn) ... :) ... if I am available.
By the way Alberto ... you've done a fabulous job with your 2nd scoreboard .. Unbelievably professional .. thank you for that.
Thanks ...
ps. When WGT closes down for 2 weeks around the holidays (which they do every year) I hope they remember to put up the links for the tournaments. Just a thought.

The people who put this competition together, think about the rules and work hard to come up with something and harder yet to follow it, and they deserve the respect they are earning.
Even if someone may not agree, once the tournament is started, the rules (good or bad) cannot be changed just because someone happens not to like them, especially after you agreed to them in the first place, by subscribing to the tournament.
I think it is not fair to demand a change on the rules now... especially considered that many people who do not speak up, might actually like them (I am among those who do like them).
I have been helping (and organizing) championship just like this one (on a smaller scale) and I have found that a way to have people play until the end, is to set up a random prize (sweepstakes) awarded to a random person who (1) does not make it to the next stage and (2) manages to play and finish ALL the games.
If the prize is good enough, many players will want to play just for that chance.
