WGT Nation 1-4 Week Tourney Results

  Hello All

  I had a spare hour and played around with the results of this tournament. There are 2 results here. The first table shows the top finishers in the credit award table. I did not include the long drive or nearest to the hole credit prizes as I would look at these being just hole bonuses.

  The second table shows people ranked on their actual scores over 4 weeks. To qualify for this table you had to have registered a score in the top 250 in each of the weeks. You must have had scores every week.

  Nice work Paul. I hope Shoe does another 1 of these over a longer period. In the next 1 I'd like to see it played over 18 holes or more as this spreads the scoring out a bit and not as many players tie for the same position.

  There wasn't a great deal of credits on offer but that didn't take away the enjoyment of playing in it. I was pleased to make top 10 on both your tables :)

  I would agree Daz, I think that if you are going with the credit scoring method used you would have to look at a much longer time spread because the jumps in credit value for placing are so big. I think 10 weeks would be a minimum but 20 or 30 better i.e. a proper season.

  The second table is a little unfair too because people may have had to miss a week for some reason, there were quite a few who had played 3 weeks only.

  Thanks Paul for doing up this. Was very happy with the way I played, and I do hope shoe does more of these. Kept me entertained

  That's the final leaderboards I was looking for when I asked for a WGT Tour-like. Since it was not going to happen, I didn't bother to finish round 2 (with a 31 only I would have scored 114 over the 4 rounds).

  I hope to see other tournaments like this in the near future with 18-holes rounds and a grand final taking the first 10 players.

  One could also take the first 10 players with respect to credit won and the first 10 players with respect to the total score. This would make a grand final with 20 players. Or something along this line.

  Yes mate I kind of realise a few people would have done that so the second table is a little unfair. I also wish for the set up you describe and think the game is desperately in need of it. A 10 week season with a final shoot out.

  Very nice job Paul...

  just as a hi-jack check out THE  CONTINENTAL STROKE PLAY, in community org section if you want to be part of a longer competition.It would be nice to see some of the top finishers there.

  Not at all unfair. Bollox, among others, bother to post a score for every round including a 31 :) . I just did get motivated to do so because there were no points to do it.

  Ha your making my job easy!  I put the CTTH and Longdrive as part of the total, didn't effect the outcome.  Genord still the clear winner.  Will be in contact with all the weekly winners and of course the overall winner.  Next tournament will start in a week or so and will be the same 4 round format but with 18 hole scores and a couple of tweaks.  Thank you everyone for making this so successful!
