On the Twelfth of Never, as rumour has it.

This makes no sense. If anybody could make Augusta National look as authentic as possible, it would be WGT.  I'd think they would love to have their course added.

Alosso is correct. Augusta National is as private as it gets. Their Championship is all  the distraction they allow. Although it could possibly be the 11th or 13th of never. I'm not sure.

The 2014 Masters Tournament will be the 78th edition of the Masters Tournament and the first of golf's four major championships to be held in 2014. It will be held from April 10–13 atAugusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia

The glorious twelfth is when we start shooting grouse, but that is August.

I used to wait with bated breath for my invitation from Augusta National Golf Club prior to the Masters - but needless to say it has never, nor will ever come (could have something to do with my golfing ability).

The sadest thing is I have just as much chance of receiving an invite from the club as I have of playing the course on WGT. Twelfth of never is about the right time scale.

My guess is Augusta National is tied by contract to EA sports (tiger woods online) for a period of X years. Money talks and EA have plenty of that so all we can do sit and wait and hope for Augusta to see sense and realise that displaying their course in cartoon form for whatever price wasn't the smartest thing to do.

there are plenty of great courses for WGT to map and I'm sure Chad and the rest of the team will in the future have some fantastic courses for us to play.

and lets keep the dream alive that one day we might be virtually walking down the fairways at Augusta National. You just never know.

I wonder what if anything EA sports shutting down TWO did to their contracts with Augusta and the PGA tour.

Now there's a thought Sting. Contracts don't last forever.

It could also be WGT's own contracts that are restricting things, too. They've already announced that they are investing the time, effort and money to photograph and produce a full course yet they will only produce another "Best of Par 3" mixture course (Bandon Dunes). Maybe the U.S. Open relationship now has clauses in it that no full courses may be produced in direct competition the same year an Open course is produced.

    Just one more possibility.
