Why is it too much time? Why do you feel you're entitled to attain a higher level faster than that?
It's a game. WGT has set the price of the very top of the line equipment as a function of playing time + $$$ (credits). If they set the time period as 10,000 days or 2,500 18 hole games or a combination of therein, that's the price they set. Making that equipment easier to get means WGT will lose customers faster as they lose goals to work for and get bored with the game.
Take the time to enjoy the journey. Learn the nuances of the games, courses and the equipment you can get. You'll get to whatever level you want eventually. Many others have.It's not impossible.
