Ummm not trying to be rude here, but Andyson (or Icon) can you explain why Icons head is larger than the rest of the body? Just curious :))

    Alanti,

We don't want to de-rail this thread further so I will start another thread called "Why is Icon's head larger than the rest of his body?"  ;o)

    PRStevenson:

    WGTicon:

    hi

I like the idea but more as an award than avatar. The major issue with avatars is that they aren't used enough.

    -wgticon

I think players would be more inclined to use them (avatars) IF they were rewarded them.

Some players might buy an avatar from the shop BUT many would rather spend on equipment or something (non-aesthetic) that helps improve their game.

If avatars were rewarded you'd see them being used.

Alternatively when the goal is reached you could always give players the option to choose from more than one type of reward.

As you'll know, rewards for spending is a tried and tested measure that is proven to encourage and increase further consumer spending.

Steven, you said good but avatars doesn't make difference in your game.

You should be able to play an MPC while you "dress" a basic avatar. In this game three things are important: balls, skills and fortune. You will learn which one of this three is more important than others.

As you I will appreciate to see a new avatar update, maybe ev'ry 6 months but this can't be happen now, maybe in the furture. Try to change your avatars daily, maybe you won't new new avatars frequentely, but guess one time during the year.

    Salut,
    Fraenkel.

Let me guess that you don't refer to virtual balls, do you?

If not so, clubs would be as important, if not more.

The avatars aren't used enough because most of them are rubbish and cost too much anyway. Why don't you install a "game face" type thingy?   Not all golfers/golf gamers, look like clones!

    No no no, Paul.

I didn't mean that vb are the only important thing in WGT, I only said that balls are the best way to reward customers after a purchase in credits or multi proshop as Steven proposed. I still bump a thread where I remark that are just passed one year 'till the last WGT promo for purchase credits and earn free sleeve.

Clubs still be the spirit of this game, for sure.

I don't really understand what you're trying to say Fraenkel but with all due respect I don't need you to offer me an explanation of the game. I'm sure you're not trying to be patronizing, maybe it's just a cultural thing or language problem? Regardless it sounds like we're in agreement.

treebeard please kindly post on a different thread if you want to start up a conversation about your opinions on avatars :)

Aren't you patronizing poor Mr. tree, PR?

Isn't this a thread about avatars? *chuckles*

Davide, let's not confuse him further by a "stick and balls" conversation behind his back ;)

haha I'm not patronizing anyone as you well know :)

though for anyone who might be confused (which doesn't include alosso who is playing devil's advocate), it's about purchase rewards. The avatar component of the conversation was just the suggestion put forward.

conversations about sticks and balls?....well whatever floats your boat, if you think it's relevant and it doesn't  high-jack the point of the thread.
