It is really confusing and frustrating when you first start, but it gets easier.
Yup and it is called learning this game, which takes a long time and a very good post by Jason.
AS Jason says, in time you will learn not to hit the ding to counter the wind effects, and that the starters ball really will not offer any spin, but my advice is at your level, not to spend toomuch on them - say the WGT Tour SDs did me until Master.
Your real issues are the wedges, and agree that having 3 equally spaced good wedges will save you a lot of shots. Sadlt as it stands, your GIR are not good, but your scrambling/sand saves are worse, so nearly each time you miss the green it will be a bogey. Then theres your putting to be drastically worked on. Good wedges will get you closer so alone may improve your putting stats.
That said try and think what iron set you may upgrade to and work backwards from the pitching wedge for your wedges so the are equally spaced.
As for landing in the same bunker, this shows poor course management - think before each shot and DO NOT assume the club or shot the caddy gives you is right - it seldom is (rule #1).
Read the chipping and putting tips to the right and learn the game but a lot of practice is required. Search the forums as there is a wealth of great tips and info, and then did I say practice? And then practive a lot more!
It is not easy, but it certainly is not stupid.
