    Probably the Special WGT weather turned your 16 mph tail wind into an 40 mph headwind while your ball was in the air.

    Gusts of wind are definitely part of the game and often blow your ball away. But your example is a bit extreme to be explained by changing wind conditions only.

    Uphill?

    Back spin, top spin, default spin?

    Full, Punch, Pitch, Chip, Flop?

    Playing in uneven lies mode?

    Okay here it is.....

    WIND = divide by 2...

    16mph / 2 = 8

    -------

    Now... here is where you determine the alterations of the number..

    Against wind = Increase + 8 yards to the distance of your shot.

    With wind = Subtract -8 Yards from distance of your shot.

    HOWEVER ............ This all depends on direction of wind, Lie + Angle + BALL..... ... PITCH PUNCH FULL..... even green speeds....

    Definitively the correct number here is considered a hole in one...

    That doesn't occur often...

    Poor cbrea26, his deep mathematical theory and wind calculations, all ripped to shreds in 4 innocent words.
