I am just wondering as I approach Level 98, which I have worked so hard for, but is now made redundant by the release of the Black R1 at Level 93, is it worth carrying on.

Does anyone here envisage new clubs / balls coming out at Lvl 100 +.

I am supposing the ineveitable answer is "Yes"

    1i refreshingly imperfect

My glass bowl is always blocked when it comes to WGT's business planning and decisions ;)

OTOH, me thinks that other subjects might be important in these hights of level.

    RGs, matches tourneys, friends...

No level is worth pursuing IMHO just for the sake of it. Play to enjoy the game and if you are not I suggest taking a break.

I am sure WGT will release higher level equipment in the future but hopefully not better equipment. I think better equipment will mean greater manipulation to negate that gear.

If you are playing just to attain a level, consider the cost in balls - from level 98 o 100 is at least a sleeve of Callys or two :))

The point I was trying to make is that I don't want to miss out on new equipment if it comes at such a high level.

It has nothing to do with playing for level per se.

At some point Taylormade will release some R1 irons, fairway woods, and rescue clubs. I'd expect the irons to go at L97, the 3wd at L99, and the rescue at L100. So I would say yes, L99 at least is worth pursuing.

As long as you keep playing , you wont miss out on anything . The XP points will continue to rise , as it is not something which we can stop . Most players by level 95 ,will already have the top gear , so they can play from the tips . Even though WGT may add new gear for higher levels , I doubt if it will make much of a difference , to your game . So play well and have fun . Happy Swinging :-)

One would have to think that equipment will continue to be added to the game.  At which point will it stop at levels, no one knows.

My thought/guess/prediction...  is eventually we will start seeing more dots in the shot shaping department at which will be in the 100+ levels. After all,  precision/forgiveness and spin all are pretty close to maxed out in some combination or another.

It's time for WGT to start utilizing the shot shaping dots.  ;-)

You can ignore me all you like John, but one thing's for certain;  you can never outrun the truth, try as you may.

While on the subject of truth, why not introduce us all to the twins?  I think we'd all be interested in meeting them. They seem like such amenable lads.     :-)

WTF does this have to do with the OP's topic? This is blatant hounding and totally out of place. Take your misery someplace else.
