Please consider adding a "no putt concedes" button to the list of options when setting up a game. I understand quick games are important to the bottom line but I'd bet concedes don't save time. Track it in Beta and see. (The putter generally stands there waiting for a concede longer than if he'd have putted.) Anyway its about more than time saved; a game without concedes has a much more satisfying end to each hole. More natural feel, more fun.

We use the chat box on the first fairway to establish that kind of thing. It's very easy to tell your opponent, "I believe in putting out on every hole. I don't concede putts and expect none in return. Thank you."

Sometimes, when playing with friends, we'll set rough guidelines while going down the first fairway. Agree to concede anything under 1 foot, putts when someone is obviously out of the hole, etc. If someone has a particular putt they want to hit but they are out of the hole they will tell us to let them hit it and we do.

Communication and being polite right away in a match resolves the issue.

A reasonable request but unless you're playing for blood, do you really want to win a match on a blown 2 foot putt?

You didn't win it-the other guy lost it.  :-)

That works fine in most cases but its after the player has joined. My way a player can make an informed decision before joining.

You said it. And that's the exact same way some feel about being conceded. The one cedeing is saying "You didn't win it. I gave it to you." It diminishes the win.
