How can I view WGT in Widescreen format?

  I have a widescreen PC monitor which is pretty much standard nowadays. But when I go to play a round of WGT online the site does not display the game in full widescreen format, but the sides are black bordered and I have a almost 800 X 600 old style view format.I clicked on the bottom right icon to make it full screen but it doesn't change? Is this the way the game is set up viewing wise or what?

  Besides pressing F11 on your keyboard, you can also click the full screen symbol in the game client indicated in front of the arrow.

  The OP already said he did that, Richard.

  F11 gets the full screen but sometimes, especially in Firefox, it doesn't do anything unless you minimize the window, maximize it then hit F11. It's a workaround.

  Also, that enlarge button in the lower right corner isn't the same thing. It enlarges the screen the same way right clicking and zooming does and tends to blur the image a bit. I would set your display resolution to 1200 x 800 if your graphics card supports it. The detail is amazing. GL

  Be aware that there is currently a chat bug in fullscreen mode.

  I already tried the F11 key. It enlarged it a bit but not even close to fullscreen widescreen.And it has WHITE borders on the sides of the main screen..I just don't think this golf sim is compatable with widescreen nor windows 7 and IE 8

  As to F11 or the expand screen button - it just widens the screen to fill it and looks distorted.

  My second monitor (which I use for the gameclient) is widescreen and the setting is 1920x1080.  I have no problem with the display in WIN 10 (which I otherwise hate).  It displays fine on my UHD laptop as well.

  I think there must be another display setting on your computer to improve it.  I know always had better success making things work right in WIN 7, but I totally avoided WIN 8.

   

  BTW - have you actually played the game?  Account since 2009 with no stats and Level 5?  Just curious.

  True but still relevant. Wide screen is still not supported by WGT. I set my graphic control panel display to 1280x960 and check scale full screen. The display is stretched slightly but still looks pretty good full screen with Comodo Dragon and Slimjet
