It's on our doorstep. I hope that we can see a few halloween things around the courses for a bit of festive fun.

Crows perched on branches, skeletons in the coffins bunkers, jack-o-lanterns here and there, gypsy caravans, spiders webs, perhaps some  silhouettes in the treeline, perhaps the occasional howl or scream for audio effects. Nothing too elaborate but some fun for the spotters that doesn't distract or detract from the game.

I've suggested this before and ALL responses were in favour but WGT remain tight-lipped.

Come on WGT what do you say?....

I would imagine the costs (to say nothing of the difficulty) of doing that on the courses themselves would be astronomically prohibitive, and I must say I for one could think of many much more urgent tasks for the programmers to undertake. It may be possible without too much difficulty on the forum, but we shall see.
Personally, I view Halloween as a predominantly American 'holiday' and take little interest in it, but as this game is predominantly American anyway you may see something.

Halloween comes from the Celtic feast day of Samhain*, heralding the beginning of winter.    (* pronounced  Sav - ain.)  Then, much later, the Romans and christians  adopted and adapted it to suit their own purposes.

I may be wrong but I don't think America had much influence on the Celtic nations 2000 years ago.

To the OP - if that's your bag, just book a tee time at Olympic right behind me.You'll find the course strewn with dead squirrels, gophers and quite a few species of rare birds.I'll wear a cloak and play with a scythe for added effect.

I only participate in the giving of sweets to the children (Godiva candy bars keep them coming as the word spreads), but in my heart it is basically an evil event.

Bwahahahahahahahaha. It saddens me that people actually think like this.

I'd knock on Icon's front door for some Max Meters, but he'd probably give me dental floss and a little card with a Bible passage.

More likely you'd be told to clear your cache and try another browser. :)

Why not have an unlimited tourney for Halloween? something like night golf? where the Halloween golf balls can take place in. Since the balls are vapor, you can actually see the vapor in the dark?

    Just a suggestion

Agreed. When I lived in Hong Kong, the place to be on Halloween was in Disco Bay. Virtually every house in Headland Drive (primarily Expats and detached houses) would participate in giving candy to the kids, bar a couple which had huge signs on the gates "DO NOT ENTER THE PREMISES - WE DO NOT BELIEVE IN PAGAN FESTIVALS". Talk of the grinch that stole...oops wrong season.

My kids filled a supermarket bags full of candys - obscene lol

As for the OPs suggestion - too much programming required for such a short time. But dimly lit courses using a vapor trail could be fun
