This shot of only 6 yards is quite a stinker. After perhaps 30 or 40 trys at it, I have only one heart thumper of 9.9 feet. Pitch or flop, putt or punch, it doesn't matter...it's either 12 feet away or stuck in the grass. Does anyone have the solution to this hardest of shot?

I had success once, and only once, pitching to the fringe above the hole to the right and having it trickle down. The key is the landing which has to NOT be on the green.

I was afraid I would hear that...It seems it must hit fringe then release...very risky to try if you are low scored when you get there. But thanks YJ...I agree with you. If I discover something fool-proof (I am a fool after all) I will share it.

Just to make you laugh I tried bouncing it off the tree opposite, but with limited success.

It was a punched 3 iron, full topspin at about half power or a tad over, good luck. (please use the free ball, miss the tree and you're OOB).
