When putting from fringe...

  Is there a way to change the default on the fringe to the typical length for the putt, instead of the max length of the putter?

  yes, next to where it says 150ft there are 2 arrows, up and down, move the cursor over the down arrow and click on it to change it

  No there isn't umcane86. And putter lenghts have come along ways since wgt started. My advice is to simply make setting your putter length a part of your pre shot routine.

  It can be rather annoying. I once had a putt right on the edge that I thought I hit with perfect power. It rolled hard into the stick from 15 feet or so, and ended up wildly far off.

  Now I check to make sure I have the right one ;)

  I don't get why they default to the 150 putter though. It doesn't make any sense.
