Hi everyone. As you may know, the Philippine islands have been hit by a major disaster in the last few days. The devastation that has befallen the Islands can be read and seen in this link below:

As we write this, yet another storm is on its way to the Philippines, and those already in desperate need may not survive the next storm.
The United Nations Country Club, being a WGT club with members from
across the world, recently held our first UNCC Charity Cup tournament
with all donations being sent directly to "Shelter Box", http://www.shelterbox.org/donate.php,
to be used for the people of the Philippines
that were so obviously affected by the recent typhoon. Millions of
families throughout central Philippines are without shelter, food or
water. Our club, after looking at numerous organizations felt that
Shelter Box gave the best avenue to help the people in such obvious
need. Shelter Box is already in place in the country due to the recent
earthquake that affected the same general area.
Here is our chance as a gaming community on WGT to make a
difference, The UNCC has raised over $270.00 with more donations coming
in from our members.
The UNCC would like to challenge each and
every CC on WGT to do the same, hold a charity tournament and collect
donations that will go to Shelter Box. Of course we also challenge WGT
Icon to donate to this worthy cause. As a thought, would it be possible to set up a tourny witn an entry fee Icon? And have that fee go towards this?
If your club participates in this I
would suggest that on the donate page you list the donation from an
organization. This will ask you for organization Name and type. The
UNCC will use "other organization" and list our name as "United Nations
Country Club (WGT)"
With Everyone's help we the golfing community on WGT can and will
make a difference.......LET"S DO IT. Also please say a few prayers
for those people that are struggling over there."
