Get rid of the Ads we pay enough to play this game

  Get rid of the ads at the start of the game it is hard enough to get a game without waiting even longer.

  if it were not for the ads, none of us could afford to play here.  I think the longest ad is 32 seconds, not a long time to wait.

  The advertisements at the start of the game in effect pay the green fee for the golf course you're getting ready to play.

  If it's a TruGolf course, the advertisement pays a majority of the green fee for you.

  What you need is an option to pay the green fee out of your own pocket so you don't have to wait a hand full of seconds on the advertisement.

  It's a game, the course maps only have to be made once, Players pay for it by buying equipment, the ads are just cream on top.

  There's no maintenance staff to pay, they don't have to mow the fairways or greens !

  No but they do have to pay the programmers , system analysts , technicians , photographers , and all of the other people behind this game  Then there is also the property taxes , utilities , work mans comp, and other employee benefits . So you see those ads , although annoying , help to fund and pick up the cost to operate this site . We as players take a lot for granted , when it comes to playing this game . Although it may be advertised as free , you can believe , that its not free . Happy Swinging :-)

  I guess saying "in effect" had no effect.

  They do have to pay a recurring licensing fee to each golf curse, and as mentioned have other associated course-by-course costs.

  I'm not privy to the use licensing terms but would not be surprised if the fee was at least in part based on WGT pl;ayer usage.

  That's how it works for commercial photography. X amount of dollars is good for x number of uses. If your usage exceeds the original x amount of uses granted inthe use license,you pay more.

  Are you totally deluded or just a WGT muppet?

  They post ads to make a profit, they don't do it because they simply need to cover the costs of running their business so they can supply free computer golf to the public.

  So stop being a patronizing Twat and smell the flowers.

  Here's the scoop, every business has ongoing costs, I guess you didn't realize that.

  This game is a business, businesses maximize profit however they can, they don't become established to perform a public service and only seek income to cover the cost of performing that service, it's harsh but it's the truth, deal with it.

  WGT knows who pays $$ to play, and who doesn't pay. (At least if all the spam in my email in-box from them is any indication.) So they can code it so that paying players can opt to turn the flipping ads OFF!!!

  They get annoying after the fifth or sixth re-run of the same ad. By the seventh re-run, it's just outright insulting to the paying players.
